Windows Server 2008 offers many new security features to help organizations become more secure and better adhere to today's multiple compliance mandates for security.
In this event, the Philippine Windows Users Group (PHIWUG) will show you how Windows Server 2008 defends against malicious software (malware), improves authentication and access control, and helps protect your data. We will highlight the new security technologies found in Windows Server 2008, including Server and Domain Isolation, Network Access Protection (NAP), public key infrastructure (PKI) enhancements, Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption, Windows Rights Management Services (RMS), and more.

An overview of the TechNet and MSDN Sessions.
TechNet Sessions usually caters to technical topics related to Windows (XP, Vista), Windows Servers (2003, R2, Longhorn Server), Windows Servers System (SQL, ISA, MOM, SMS, etc.), Office Servers (Sharepoint, Exchange), Windows Mobile and Embedded Devices (technical side, not developer related), Security, and the combination of these topics. TechNet does not touch developer-related topics. Topic presentation has demos alongside.
MSDN Sessions on the other hand deal with topics that are developer-centric. These are seminars packed with up-to-date technical information using the latest Microsoft tools and technologies. Some of the topics that we are focusing on are Microsoft Visual Studio Code Name "Orcas" which is the next generation development tool for Windows Vista, the 2007 Office System, and the Web, as well as the up and coming Windows Server Longhorn. MSDN Sessions will not only give the developers an edge with regards to Microsoft technologies but it will also be an opportunity for them to mingle with a crowd that enables them to learn as well as exchange new ideas.
